Throughout the book of Matthew we see Jesus constantly reminding his disciples that they are travelling to Jerusalem where He will be crucified, yet they didn’t understand and when that day came they were unprepared. Through His Word, Jesus reminds us that we will experience trials, yet WE don’t get it and are unprepared when it gets tough. These two verses from Matthew 26 are yet another reminder that God loves us and is so good to remind us of things we don’t get or we forget.
